Image Tek MFG Inc. is growing and expanding our manufacturing operations in Springfield Vermont.
Since 1994 Image Tek has been a trusted contract manufacturer partner for leading companies across diverse industries, providing services to local and global industries. Located in the heart of the Precision Valley Image Tek's state of the art, ISO certified facility is looking for team members.
Position: Quality Engineer
Summary: The Quality Engineer will be customer focused and ensure products and processes meet established standards of quality. A heavy focus on preventing defects, improving efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations. The quality engineer will develop standards, monitor production, analyze data, and will collaborate with internal and external teams to establish quality protocol.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Define the quality framework to identify tasks, and deliverables guiding teams through the planning and execution of quality assurance activities
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Perform audits of internal processes and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop manufacturing process the result in statistically capable production
- Analyze quality data and generate reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Support product testing and validation activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Train staff in quality procedures and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D, Six Sigma).
- Experience with inspection techniques and measurement tools.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality software (e.g., Minitab).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
