Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager Team Lead to oversee a dedicated personal lines book of business while serving as the operational and strategic anchor for our personal lines division.

This role bridges high-touch client service with strategic leadership. You will handle end-to-end policy management while driving (supporting/guiding carrier selection/interactions), refining agency workflows, and mentoring team members. Responsibilities

Strategic Team Leadership Carrier Management

• Carrier Strategy: Serve as the strategic co-lead in managing relationships with our 40+ premier carrier partners, evaluating underwriting appetites, and guiding market selection for complex risks.

• Team Development Productivity: Mentor, train, and support account management staff on carrier systems, insurance expertise, technical workflows, and service standards.

• Process Improvement: Partner with agency leadership to drive productivity, streamline internal operations, mentor agency staff, and ensure consistent execution across the department.

Book Management Client Advisory

• Client Consultation: Manage and service a high-value personal lines book of business, delivering prompt, expert consultation across all communication channels.

• Renewal Retention Strategy: Proactively review expiration reports, market renewals, and navigate rate shifts to maximize client retention and satisfaction.

• Account Rounding EO Protection: Analyze existing accounts to identify coverage gaps, recommend strategic endorsements/bundling, and shield clients and the agency from Errors Omissions risks.

• Full Lifecycle Servicing: Efficiently execute change requests, endorsements, policy cancellations, reinstatements, surplus lines renewals, and third-party proof of insurance (e.g., Evidence of Property).

• Data Integrity: Maintain meticulous, up-to-date documentation, client notes, and activity tracking in the Agency Management System – AMS360 or equivalent

Requirements

• Licensing: Active Property Casualty (PC) Insurance License is required.

• Industry Experience: Proven track record in personal lines account management and client servicing, with demonstrated team lead or mentoring experience.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of agency management systems (AMS360 or equivalent) and comparative carrier rating tools.

• Underwriting Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with an uncompromising eye for technical accuracy, underwriting guidelines, and policy details.

• Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting options clearly to high-net-worth clients and senior carrier reps alike.

• Adaptability: Proven ability to manage competing priorities and high volume in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
