Safety & Security Agent

Main Accountabilities

• Support the coordination of safe and secure flight turnarounds.
• Screen passengers baggage cargo and other property using approved security procedures and equipment.
• Control and monitor access to secure and restricted areas of the airport.
• Verify identification credentials and travel documents as required.
• Monitor assigned security areas and report suspicious activity or potential security concerns.
• Conduct routine patrols of terminals gates ramp areas aircraft and other assigned locations.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents alarms and emergencies.
• Enforce airport security requirements and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a high level of vigilance while providing professional customer service.
• Complete security incident and other required reports accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate with airport authorities law enforcement airline representatives and other authorized personnel as required.
• Actively participate in the companys Safety Management System (SMS).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Perform assigned duties in accordance with provided training procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Understand and comply with company health safety and security policies.
• Attend required training courses and maintain applicable qualifications and credentials.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks and obtain and maintain applicable airport/security credentials.
• Previous security aviation law enforcement or military experience preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills for completing reports and using applicable monitoring or security systems.
• Valid drivers license if required for the position.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods including shifts of up to 810 hours.
• Ability to frequently bend stoop kneel and reach.
• Ability to lift carry push and pull up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive security inspection monitoring and documentation tasks.
• Ability to work in airport terminal gate ramp aircraft and other operational environments as assigned.
• Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels and weather conditions depending on assignment.

Work Environment and Schedule

• Fast-paced safety- and security-focused airport environment.
• Requires constant awareness and attention to surrounding activity.
• Must be flexible to work mornings evenings overnight shifts weekends holidays and overtime as operationally required.
• Must comply with all applicable company airport airline safety security and customer-service standards.
