Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Vienna, VA. Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications At least 6 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must be from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
