This role serves as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring the enterprise data platform is a trusted, governed source of truth.The Senior BSA leads data requirements definition across data models, integrations, pipelines, and consumption layers, with a strong focus on data definitions, metrics, lineage, and usability within a regulated financial services environment.Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of data?related business requirements for enterprise data initiativesTranslate business needs into clear, data?specific requirements, including data elements, metrics, hierarchies, transformations, and access patternsOwn and maintain the enterprise data dictionary and business glossary, ensuring consistency and alignment across teamsPartner closely with Data Architects and Data Engineering to ensure requirements are accurately reflected in data models, integrations, and pipelinesDocument end?to?end data flows and lineage, from source systems to downstream consumersServe as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and data delivery teams, resolving definition conflicts and clarifying requirementsSupport backlog refinement and prioritization, ensuring requirements are complete and actionable prior to developmentIdentify and help remediate data quality, consistency, and access issuesReinforce data governance standards, documentation practices, and approved access methodsParticipate in design reviews, planning sessions, and cross?functional working groupsSupport regulated fintech and financial services use cases, including auditability, security, and sensitive data handlingResponsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.At Ascensus we are guided by our Core Values of People Matter, Quality First and Integrity Always®. They inspire us every day to prioritize an environment of respect for those we serve and one another and should be visible in your actions on a day-to-day.Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements:Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Product Owner, or similar data?focused roleProven experience translating business needs into enterprise?scale data requirementsStrong experience with enterprise data platforms, including:Oracle (transactional data understanding)Cloud data warehouses (Azure preferred)ETL / integration tools (Informatica or similar)Analytics and reporting consumersDemonstrated ownership of a data dictionary and/or business glossaryStrong understanding of source?of?truth principles, data consistency, and governanceExperience partnering with data architects and engineering teams in complex environmentsFinancial services or fintech experience, including regulated data requirementsExcellent analytical, documentation, and communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and non?technical stakeholdersWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.The national average salary range for this role is $110K-150K in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses and benefits. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salary offered will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, performance, and internal pay alignment. We do not anticipate that candidates hired will begin at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
