Senior Security Engineer

Salary: $145,000 - 170,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience in a professional setting, with a history of owning security architecture and initiatives from start to finish.
• We need detection engineering experience, including selecting, implementing, and operating a SIEM, writing and refining detections, and managing log pipelines, alerting, and monitoring.
• We require 4+ years of practical cloud security engineering experience, with Google Cloud Platform strongly preferred, including Cloud IAM, organization policy, service account governance, and audit logging.
• We need strong identity and access management expertise, including federation through SAML SSO and SCIM provisioning and deprovisioning.
• We are seeking deep SaaS identity security experience, including phishing-resistant MFA such as passkeys and hardware keys, secrets management architecture, OAuth app governance, token lifecycle management, and third-party application risk.
• We require hands-on incident response and forensic methodology experience, including disciplined evidence handling.
• We need endpoint security posture experience, including EDR operations such as CrowdStrike Falcon or an equivalent solution, plus device-trust or conditional-access design.
• We require experience running vulnerability management or exposure management programs, including prioritization by exploitability, asset criticality, and business risk.
• We need security automation and infrastructure-as-code fluency, including detection-as-code and a tool such as Terraform, beyond simple ad hoc scripting.

• We expect you to own our security tooling portfolio, evaluating, integrating, and rationalizing the stack so our investments are cohesive and deliver value.
• You will design and govern our identity and access architecture across Google Workspace and other identity providers, including least-privilege models, credential and secrets hygiene, service identities, and joiner-mover-leaver controls.
• You will define security requirements for our Google Cloud Platform environment and translate them into controls across Cloud IAM, organization policy, service account governance, and audit logging.
• You will partner with platform engineering to implement cloud security posture requirements and feed cloud telemetry into our detection pipeline.
• You will drive our phishing-resistant MFA strategy, strengthen secrets management, and advance SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning, and session policy across our SaaS environment.
• You will own OAuth app review and governance, token lifecycle and revocation, and third-party application risk management.
• You will lead incident response and forensic practice, running investigations independently and coordinating external partners during major escalations.
• You will treat detection, policy, configuration, and response automation as code, with version control, peer review, and testing, while partnering on Terraform and cloud guardrails where security and infrastructure intersect.
• You will mentor and develop team members in security practices over time and help inform security decisions across the organization alongside our Director of IT.
