We are hiring a Benefits & Leave Specialist to join our team.

The Benefits & Leave Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive administration of Team Member benefits programs and leave of absence processes, including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, Military Leave, and other applicable federal, state, and company-provided leave programs. This role serves as the subject matter expert for benefits and leave administration, ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, proper eligibility review, and full compliance with federal, state, and company policies. The Specialist is responsible for tracking FMLA usage and leave balances, maintaining accurate leave records, coordinating required notices and certifications, monitoring return-to-work timelines, and partnering with Team Members, managers, payroll, and HR leadership to support consistent and compliant leave management. The Specialist is also responsible for submitting yearly required federal and state filings related to benefits and leave programs. In addition, this position supports a positive Team Member experience by providing clear benefits education, responsive service, and thoughtful guidance throughout the benefits enrollment and leave process.

Location: The Nash Casino - 310 Daniel Webster Highway - Nashua, NH
Hours: Full-time - Monday through Friday 9-5pm


Job Responsibilities

• Administer all Team Member benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and all other ancillary plans, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of enrollments, changes, and terminations.
• Serve as the primary liaison with benefit contacts, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators to answer questions, resolve issues, provide information, and ensure established standards are met.
• Maintain and update benefits data within HRIS systems, including daily review of the UKG Benefit Hub for changes, approvals, and pending actions
• Review Evidence of Insurability (EOI) requirements and monitor system dashboards to ensure completion, accuracy, and compliance.
• Determine leave eligibility, issue required notices, and maintain compliant documentation in accordance with federal, state, and company requirements.
• Administer and support the interactive process for accommodation requests under the ADA, and other applicable laws by gathering information, coordinating communications, and maintaining compliant documentation.
• Manage COBRA notices and administration.
• Administers ACA filing following regulatory compliance.
• Assists the Payroll Manager and Voya Aon 401k with any inquiries, updates, reimbursements, or Team Member communication.

Education and Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration and leave management.
• Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and Team Member benefit programs.
• Experience working with HRIS systems; UKG Ben Hub, preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
• Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
• Ability to flex schedule during Open Enrollment to support a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, and weekends.

• Must be able to access and interpret information on computer screens.
