Responsibilities Evaluates existing systems and processes, initiates change and improvements, and makes suggestions to Manager Supervises the effective operation of all Environmental Services activities in the organization to provide for an aseptic and aesthetically pleasing environment through coordinating and supervising all functions of the department Leads and supervises the daily operations of the Environmental Services Department assigned areas encompassing but not limited to all patient and non-patient areas of assigned square footage Provides for a well-trained and competent staff through supervision and coordination in relation to all departmental activities, as assigned Maintains a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary Supports the development and implementation of strategies to elevate the patient’s experience Assumes responsibility for promoting consistent, positive patient interactions in an effort to meet or exceed HCAHPS goals Aches Employee Engagement goals and objectives supporting full and timely compliance with staff development to include training and education, competency assessment and performance reviews, as assigned Monitors the purchase of chemical supplies, equipment, linen and other supplies to meet the needs of assigned hospital and hospital/department campus Enforces department productivity to assigned goals and objectives to maximize operational efficiency, optimum use of resources and cost minimization Monitors costs to achieve Net Spend per APD goals and objectives Supervises and maximize the compliance of HealthTrust contracted vendors Performs other duties as assigned Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.” Qualifications High School Diploma, required Minimum of three years’ experience in environmental services or hospitality, required Knowledge of hospital and health care operations, preferred Knowledge of hospital and health care financial metrics Minimum of one-year experience in supervisory position, preferred Benefits Comprehensive benefits for medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health and telemedicine services Wellbeing support, including free counseling and referral services Time away from work programs for paid time off, paid family leave, long- and short-term disability coverage and leaves of absence Savings and retirement resources, including a 401(k) Plan with a 100% match on 3% to 9% of pay (based on years of service), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, flexible spending accounts, preferred banking partnerships, retirement readiness tools, rollover support and financial wellbeing counseling Education support through tuition assistance, student loan assistance, certification support, dependent scholarships and a partnership with Galen College of Nursing Additional benefits for fertility and family building, adoption assistance, life insurance, supplemental health protection plans, auto and home insurance, legal counseling, identity theft protection and consumer discounts Note: Eligibility for benefits may vary by location.
