As a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) at Groton Wellness, you will play a crucial role in our mission to provide comprehensive wellness services. You will offer a diverse range of massage therapies while embodying our values of holistic wellness for the mind, body, and spirit. Patient Care Promote a professional and welcoming environment that enhances the quality of service to our patients. Provide excellent customer service to all patients or prospective patients, like talking with them about their symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals. Also, collaborate with them to develop treatment plans for stress and pain. Evaluate patients prior to and during the massage to locate painful or tense areas of the body. Manipulate muscles, tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissue of the body. Increase range of motion through joint mobilization techniques. Educate patients about proper exercise. Identify health issues that require referrals to other healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities Deliver a variety of massage services tailored to individual client needs. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every patient. Work independently and confidently while contributing positively to the team dynamic. Actively pursue personal wellness and growth in mind, body, and spirit. Embrace the innovative and limitless possibilities for wellness within our company. Perform quality bodywork that meets and exceeds patients' and business expectations. Clearly communicate with patients to identify needs and set clear expectations. Create treatment plans for patients, make sure patients sign the treatment plan and upload the treatment plan into the client's chart. Schedule patients' follow-up appointments. Cross-promote within Groton Wellness. Document recommendations on treatment plans and in the patient's chart. Keep a clean and tidy workspace. Dust, organize and clean linens. Wipe down the tub and dust area, stock with clean linens, and restock the product. Maintain inventory counts on spa products. Keep an up-to-date spreadsheet of all products used for treatments. Email a spreadsheet every Friday to the office manager. Continually work on your personal sales skills, build client rapport, create a professional relationship with clients using verbal and non-verbal communication. Re-booking (promote return spa visits), create appropriate assessments, overcome objections and close the sale. Keep all treatment rooms set up and presentable at all times. Remove soiled linens and launder them. Restock the room with clean linens. Reset the room after each patient. When not in a treatment, be able to assist future patients in a complete tour of the spa and briefly educate them on the services we offer. Meet and greet. Give tours. Qualifications Valid Massachusetts Massage Therapy License. Proficient in dynamic interpersonal communication to connect with clients effectively. Strong time management skills to ensure smooth appointment scheduling. Familiarity with compliance requirements and ability to meet board of registration inspections. Proven experience and positive references demonstrating your expertise. Enthusiasm, positivity, and a team-oriented mindset. Willingness to further your education.
