About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of AI to play a pivotal role in shaping the AI strategy of its high-growth SaaS business. The successful candidate will take ownership of a market-leading document intelligence platform, lead a talented AI and machine learning team, and influence product direction at both technical and executive levels. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires a combination of technical expertise and strategic vision. Responsibilities include defining and executing the AI and machine learning strategy, leading and mentoring a team of engineers, and driving the improvement and scaling of the document intelligence platform. The role also involves working closely with cross-functional teams to align AI initiatives with business goals and evaluating and implementing modern AI approaches. The ideal candidate for the Head of AI position at the company will have a strong commercial background in building and deploying machine learning products within a SaaS environment, with a focus on NLP, document intelligence, and transforming unstructured documents into structured data. Deep expertise in areas such as OCR, document parsing, classification, and entity extraction is essential, as is experience with modern machine learning frameworks and cloud-native technologies. The role requires a proven ability to lead technical teams, a strong understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively. A background in financial documents, compliance workflows, or regulated environments is advantageous.
