Role Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Wire Harness Technician to join our team. This full-time, on-site position will support both military and commercial custom cable & wire harness projects , spanning the full process from manufacturing and assembly to testing and validation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electromechanical assembly and will work closely with our production and engineering teams to ensure quality, compliance, and on-time delivery. The expected start date is immediate or based on candidate availability. What You’ll Do Manufacture and assemble custom wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to technical drawings, specifications, and MIL-STD requirements. Perform wire prep, routing, crimping, soldering, labeling, sleeving, lacing, and connector assembly with a focus on precision and reliability. Conduct functional and continuity testing using multimeters and custom test fixtures. Interpret and follow detailed wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions. Maintain compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and customer-specific requirements. Support inspection processes and assist in documenting builds for repeatability and traceability. Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to resolve issues and continuously improve build processes. Ensure adherence to ESD procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. What We’re Looking For Experience : 2+ years in wire harness assembly or cable manufacturing, with a preference for custom builds and MIL-SPEC work. Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in cable and harness assembly, including crimping, soldering, and connectorization. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with MIL-SPEC connectors (e.g., D38999, M39029) and circular connector assemblies. Previous hands-on experience with circular connectors, backshells (inc. EMI/RFI), shielding and braiding is strongly preferred. Experience with testing and validation tools (e.g., multimeters, continuity testers). IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Excellent attention to detail and quality control practices. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Must be a U.S. citizen (due to regulatory and contractual requirements). Compensation Details This is a full-time hourly position , with a competitive pay rate based on experience and qualifications.
