Dental Hygienist

Family Dental at Lakeside Village

Location: 1375 Town Center Drive, Lakeland, FL

Schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays (7:45am-5:00pm)

Looking for more hours? As a member of our hygiene team, you will have access to HD Flex here you will be able to pick up additional shifts at nearby Heartland Dental offices!

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene care.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Collaborate with dentists and team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Support a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Dental Hygiene license.
• 
  Local Anesthesia certification required.
  
• 
  2-3 years of Dental Hygiene experience preferred.
  
• Experience with Dentrix software is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and professional growth.
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and dependable work ethic.

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
