Mainframe Business Analyst - COBOL, CICS, IMS, JCL, MQ Series, DB2

This role blends business analysis, development, and solution architecture, requiring strong mainframe expertise and the ability to drive end-to-end delivery across medium to large-scale projects. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Gather and analyze business requirements for enterprise applications Translate requirements into functional specifications and technical solutions Manage assigned units of work ranging from enhancements to large-scale projects Development & System Delivery Develop and support applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, IMS, VSAM, and DB2 Perform unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and support UAT Support implementation and post-production warranty activities Define architectural solutions to meet application and business requirements Support multi-tier and cross-platform system design across enterprise environments Align solutions with enterprise technology standards and roadmaps Provide status updates to project managers and team leads Collaborate with cross-functional teams across business and IT Support Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies Production Support & Optimization Troubleshoot issues across applications and platforms Support system enhancements and performance improvements Required Qualifications Strong experience with IBM mainframe technologies (COBOL, CICS, JCL, IMS, VSAM, DB2) Experience with MQ Series Experience with full SDLC including analysis, design, development, testing, & implementation Strong business analysis and requirements gathering experience Understanding of multi-tier and cross-platform architectures Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments Strong collaboration and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft technologies (.NET Core, MVC, C#, Angular) Experience in automotive parts systems, warehousing, or supply chain Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture and strategy 3+ years of Big 4 consulting experience Stable work history within large enterprise organizations #J-18808-Ljbffr Delta Computer Consulting
