Customer Service Representative

My client needs a Customer Service Associate to serve as the primary point of contact for customers on product, service, order, and account questions. The site focuses on thehandling of rotary tools. This role processes customer orders and quotes, maintains accurate records, resolves customer inquiries, and coordinates across internal departments to keep orders moving and customers informed. The client is explicit about the kind of person who succeeds here: someone proactive who doesn't wait to be asked — checking on orders in production, walking over to CAD or production to get answers, and following up with customers without being prompted. Attention to detail matters, and comfort reading blueprints/CAD designs is important, since new hires are trained by sitting with the CAD team and job-shadowing production to learn the full process, including how job tickets work. What You'll Do Process customer orders, quotes, and order entries accurately and efficiently Maintain customer, vendor, and job records in Oxaion (ERP, similar to SAP) and Excel Verify purchase orders and ensure quoted pricing aligns with invoiced amounts Proactively follow up with customers, check on order status in production, and chase down answers from CAD, production, or other departments Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns, and requests via phone, email, and in person Resolve customer complaints and issues, or *escalate* them to the right internal resource when needed Perform customer verifications and manage customer accounts Log customer interactions, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken Coordinate with internal departments — including CAD, production, sales, and leadership — to support customer requirements and resolve issues Follow up on customer interactions, open quotes, and specialty projects Review customer-supplied information using MI-5 CAD/CAM software, and be comfortable reading blueprints/technical drawings Use Oxaion to enter orders, quotes, scheduling, planning, and processing of customer/material/supplier information Work closely with the sales team, customers, and the CEO to keep orders moving and communication flowing Develop and maintain good working relationships with Marbach customers Handle varied functions accurately and quickly while managing constant interruptions What We're Looking For Proactive, self-driven personality — someone who takes initiative rather than waiting for direction, and isn't afraid to walk over and talk to people in other departments Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfort reading and understanding blueprints/CAD drawings (training includes sitting with CAD and job-shadowing production) Strong verbal and written communication skills, and an accurate typist with good command of English Drive to learn — the client explicitly prefers a less-experienced candidate with strong initiative over someone with admin/call-center experience who struggles to adapt to this style of role Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills Listening skills and interpersonal skills Adaptability and strong organizational skills Not a Fit For Traditional administrative or call center backgrounds — the client was explicit that this role doesn't function like either, and that background often doesn't translate well here Nice to Have Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Bilingual in English and Spanish, German, or Portuguese #J-18808-Ljbffr Ferretti Search
