Sr Embedded Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to development of sensor applications. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing embedded firmware solutions for a wide range of sensor applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative sensor solutions that address the evolving needs of our customers.JOB DUTIES:Design and development of embedded firmware for sensor applications including sensor interfacing, data acquisition, signal processing and RF protocol stack implementation. Architect and implement firmware solutions optimized for real-time sensor data acquisition, analysis, and control in diverse application scenarios.Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and specifications for sensor integration, ensuring seamless interaction between firmware and sensor hardware.Optimize firmware performance for low-power operation, resource-constrained environments, and real-time communication requirements.Develop and maintain firmware drivers and libraries for common sensor types, enabling rapid development and deployment of sensor applications across different platforms.Conduct thorough testing and validation of firmware functionality, performance, and reliability, addressing any issues or deficiencies through iterative refinement and optimization.Stay abreast of the latest advancements in sensor technology, embedded systems, and firmware development methodologies, integrating emerging technologies and best practices into our development process.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.YOU MUST HAVE:5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, with a focus on sensor applications and real-time systems.Proficiency in programming languages such as C and C++ for embedded systems, with experience in firmware development for microcontrollers, and SoCs.Proficiency in HW interfaces such as I2C, UART, GPIO, ADC and SPI.Experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS Zephyr and TI RTOS.Experience using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and device programmers.Deep understanding of sensor principles, including analog and digital sensor interfaces, data formats, and signal processing techniques.Experience with common sensor types and applications, such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, proximity sensors, and environmental sensors.WE VALUE:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex firmware issues and optimize performance for efficiency and reliability.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.#LI-LH1#LI-HYBRIDResideo is a global leader in smart home and building solutions, with trusted brands including Honeywell Home, First Alert, and Resideo helping people feel more comfortable, secure, connected, and in control every day.
