Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Sales Support Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support within the construction materials industry. This role is primarily responsible for order processing, SAP system transactions, freight coordination, and sales support administration rather than direct selling.

The position works closely with inside and outside sales representatives, customers, contractors, architects, engineers, and supply dealers to ensure accurate and timely processing of orders, quotes, deliveries, and project documentation. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to inside and outside sales teams
• Process customer orders, job quotes, and related documentation using SAP (critical function)
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate order information, pricing, and customer data in SAP and related systems
• Coordinate freight quotes, shipping arrangements, and delivery scheduling
• Communicate with customers, contractors, dealers, architects, and engineers regarding order status, product information, and project requirements
• Prepare and coordinate product samples for customers and prospects as needed
• Track production status, deliveries, and order fulfillment to ensure timely completion
• Maintain accurate job files, records, and supporting documentation
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner
• Participate in sales and safety meetings and follow all workplace safety policies and procedures
• Report unsafe conditions and support compliance with company and regulatory safety standards
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years of sales support, order processing, or administrative coordination experience required
• SAP experience required
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, logistics, or transportation industry preferred
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external customers
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills required
• Knowledge of construction materials, roofing products, or building code standards is a plus
