Python Developer - Rockville MD

Python Developer Location: Rockville MD Duration: 06 months plus contract Rate: DOE US Citizen, Green card, GC EAD, H4 EAD and TN visa accepted. Job description: Programming, preferably Python, is the deciding criterium for the position. The ideal candidate has a college level understanding of programming (degree or equivalent experience), and has learned industry best practices from on the job experience. Can this person logically solve the problem? The syntax doesn't have to 100% perfect. How do they format code in a way that makes sense? Linux: The ideal candidate has a couple or more years of Linux command line experience, ideally with root. The ability to write and debug a bash script is required. Desired skills: Docker, Dockerfiles. Moderate to strong experience with AWS is desired. Of particular interest: boto3, EC2 (LBs, Autoscaling, etc.), Lambda, EKS or other Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate, CloudFormation, Step Functions. Basic understanding of CI/CD deployments and tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket and Git. Soft skills – ARE REALLY IMPORTANT: Good communication skills. The ability to communicate complex technical issues is crucial during this wfh period. Phrase questions clearly. Good teamwork. Willingness and ability to learn new technologies.
