Claims Assistant

Job Description:
A reputable organization is seeking a detail-oriented Claims Assistant to support their claims and operations team. This temporary position involves providing administrative support, managing front desk responsibilities and assisting with customer service functions. The role is essential for ensuring smooth communication and efficient operations within the department. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining accurate records and supporting various administrative tasks in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support the customer service work and processes for the multi-functional Claim and Operations teams, including managing the front desk.

• Provide administrative assistance to the Claims and Operations Department using word processing and spreadsheet applications.

• Adhere to the company's Employee Code of Ethical Conduct.

• Complete other duties and special projects as requested to support team operations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.

• College coursework in English, Mathematics, Business Administration or Administrative Management or equivalent insurance-related coursework and experience required

• 2+ years of administrative experience

• Previous experience in an insurance environment (preferred)

• Ability to work independently and within a multifunctional team

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Strong customer service and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing workflows

• Proficient in Microsoft Windows

• Attention to detail and analytical skills

• Ability to accurately enter and verify alpha/numeric data

Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 per hour. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
