The Goddard School in Albany is currently hiring loving, nurturing teachers for our school. We have children ages 6 weeks old through 5 years old. We are looking for teachers who enjoy being around children and encourage children to learn and grow. Benefits Childcare benefit Paid Winter Break (week between Christmas and New Years) Company Paid Workers Compensation Paid Time Off Medical insurance (health, dental, vision) No night, weekend, and holiday schedules Responsibilities Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment Create and implement fun and engaging plans with the guidance of the Program Coordinator Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance Establish an effective classroom, responsive to each child’s needs Adhere to all NYS regulations and Goddard School policies and procedures Qualifications Ability to understand and support the education program using a “learning through play” philosophy Ability to interact closely with children at their level Ability to keep children within sight and sound supervision at all times Ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist in toileting (where necessary) Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work as part of a team and take directions Ability to multi-task Candidate must be flexible and able to respond to change as needed Candidate must be passionate about working with children and bring a positive attitude each and every day!
