Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP RN with 2+ years of Cath Lab/EP experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring a SC or compact RN license. Details Acute care hospital setting in the Cath Lab/EP Lab department Day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM), though hours may extend until procedures are complete Weekend and on-call requirements: one weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun) per month plus one weekday call shift per week, subject to change based on staffing needs No floating between service lines or to sister facilities required Epic EMR used Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval based on unit needs Requirements Active SC RN license or compact license must be in hand prior to start BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only) Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience required Community hospital experience required Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterization, and Impella insertion Skilled in circulating procedures, interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, and monitoring procedural sedation Radiation badge required, to be provided by the assigned staffing agency Driver's license and SSN required for consideration Additional Information Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures Administer and monitor procedural sedation medications Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff Free parking available in downtown lots and garages (garage clearance limited to average SUV/truck height) During hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams First-time travelers may be considered depending on position needs Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius to be prioritized; local candidates considered case-by-case Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for review and approval based on facility needs These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
