Registered Nurse - CVICU

Location: San Antonio, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7A - 7:30P / 7P - 7:30A with rotating weekends.

Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse with experience in the Cardiac Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). Candidates will be trained on CVICU devices to support cardiovascular cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills and have the ability to manage complex patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients.
• Monitor hemodynamic status using Swan-Ganz catheters and arterial lines.
• Manage ventilators and other cardiac support devices, including IABP and ECMO.
• Administer medications and ensure compliance with treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN License in Texas (No temp licenses accepted).
• 2 years of ICU experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications mandatory.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
• Knowledge of Meditech documentation system is a plus.
