Facilities Manager

Description

We're looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the teams responsible for maintaining DMP's facilities, grounds, building systems, and overall workplace environment.

As Facilities Manager, you'll lead the Custodial and Maintenance teams and serve as a key partner to departments throughout the company. You'll help ensure that our facilities consistently reflect the same quality and excellence that DMP strives to deliver in everything we do.

Custodial Operations

The Custodial team keeps DMP's facilities clean, functional, and exceptionally maintained. You will oversee the daily cleaning and sanitizing operations, restroom and break room supply replenishment, meeting and event space preparation, and procurement of custodial supplies, equipment, paper products, and other consumables.

Facilities & Maintenance

The Maintenance team keeps DMP's buildings, grounds, systems, and production-related equipment operating reliably. You will oversee the building and facility maintenance and repairs, exterior grounds and property maintenance, building systems and utilities, air compressors, vacuum pumps, and other production-related equipment, preventive maintenance programs, and inspections, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do

As Facilities Manager, you will:

• Lead, coach, and support the Custodial and Maintenance teams, ensuring daily responsibilities are completed effectively and independently.
• Assign work, follow up on priorities, and make sure facility needs are addressed promptly.
• Build a strong team through training, mentoring, regular one-on-one meetings, performance feedback, and annual reviews.
• Build and manage relationships with contractors and vendors, including HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, and other service providers.
• Solicit and negotiate bids and contracts while ensuring quality, service, and value.
• Develop operating reports and work with leadership to plan and manage facility budgets.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling programs and vendors.
• Prepare DMP facilities for changing weather conditions and respond to urgent facility needs when necessary.
• Coordinate facility moves and equipment projects, including preparing cost estimates.
• Ensure utility systems and facility equipment are properly inspected and maintained in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate records related to facility safety, security, inspections, and maintenance.
• Manage procurement of maintenance parts and supplies, custodial supplies, and break room supplies.
• Follow DMP's Data Classification Standard.

What You Bring

We're looking for a proactive, organized leader who can balance big-picture facility needs with the small details that make a workplace run well.

Qualifications:

• College degree preferred, with experience in Building systems or facilities management or equivalent experience.
• General knowledge of commercial construction preferred.
• Working knowledge of facility maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety practices.
• Experience with maintenance in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA and applicable environmental regulations.
• Strong procurement, vendor management, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Ability to lead, train, encourage, mentor, and develop employees.
• Experience developing, managing, and working within departmental budgets.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift approximately 25-30 pounds as needed.
