Electrical Estimator / Preconstruction

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Preconstruction professional to join our growing Electrical team in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, supporting preconstruction efforts, and collaborating with project teams to help deliver successful industrial electrical projects. While this role is based in Carlsbad, occasional travel to project sites and client meetings is required.

Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial electrical projects.
Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment estimates.
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
Collaborate with project managers, operations, and clients throughout the preconstruction process.
Assist with proposal preparation and bid submissions.
Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
