Estate Planning and Settlement Attorney

Responsibilities Reid and Riege, P.C. seeks a self‑motivated attorney with experience drafting estate plan documents, designing estate plans, counseling fiduciaries in the settlement of estates and administration of trusts, and researching associated tax and other legal issues. The attorney will be based in either the firm’s downtown Hartford office, downtown New Haven office, or a hybrid of both offices, primarily in person. Limited hybrid work arrangements will be considered on an individual basis. This attorney will join a growing 75+ year trust and estates practice at the firm, offering significant opportunities for career advancement within areas such as estate and tax planning for high‑net‑worth individuals and families, fiduciary litigation, complex estate settlement, and business succession planning. Requirements Exceptional writing and interpersonal skills Demonstrate appropriate initiative and judgment when making decisions Work independently but collaboratively within a team environment that includes attorneys, support staff and fiduciary managers JD from an accredited law school Connecticut Bar admission in good standing or ability to become admitted promptly Compensation is competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
