Join a team of 7 board-certified Neonatologists, 13 outstanding Neonatal Nurse Practitioners with long-term professional relationships Ancillary services at your fingertips including dieticians, pediatric pharmacists, OT/PT and speech therapists, social workers, lactation specialists, and case managers The NICU is covered by a full complement of pediatric subspecialties including cardiology, general pediatric surgery, gastroenterology, pulmonology, endocrinology, hematology, genetics, ophthalmology, and ENT Blank Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a Level 3B, 44 bed, single roomed with three double rooms for multiples Responsibilities Care for critically ill infants who are born at Methodist Medical Center or transferred in from network hospitals Patient ranges from extremely preterm infants (>22 weeks GA) to those with complex medical/surgical needs cared for prenatally by our Fetal-Neonatal Center Full range of service includes, but not limited to, non-invasive, conventional, high frequency Jet and Oscillatory ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic total body cooling Division sees between 950-1050 admissions annually with 4,500-5,500 births annually Qualifications MD or DO Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of State Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt) J-1 waiver sponsorship available We Offer Initial 2-year salary guarantee with ability to exceed on an innovative compensation program Attractive incentive package A competitive Total Rewards program offers benefits that align with your needs and priorities, no matter what stage of life you are in.
