Overview Volunteers of America Southeast is seeking to hire passionate care givers to provide direct care/support for the individuals in our program. Direct Support Professional is responsible for guiding, coaching and encouraging individuals to achieve their maximum level of independence, and to learn and grow in accordance with personal outcome measures through education and life experiences. Position: Direct Support Professional - Hartselle, AL Location: Hartselle, AL Job Id: 9555 # of Openings: 1 Status: Part-Time Pay: Starting at $15.00/hr Shift: 2nd Shifts (All shifts include working every other weekend) Responsibilities Bathing Feeding Grooming/Hygiene Upkeep Toileting Medication Administration Transportation Needs Daily Documentation in Therap Cooking Cleaning Laundry Qualifications Age 18 years or older High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Ability to collaborate effectively with the person receiving services, co-workers, family members, related agencies and others Ability to assist individuals in achieving personal goals while promoting dignity and respect Strong written communication skills Valid Alabama driver’s license and ability to meet vehicle insurance carrier requirements, if applicable Ability to pass all required training courses including First Aid, CPR, CPI, and VOASE Policies & Procedures Benefits BENEFITS PACKAGE OFFERED! #J-18808-Ljbffr
