Rehabilitation Aide

Role: Rehabilitation Aide in the Speech Pathology Department within Rehabilitation Services. Responsibilities Supporting therapists with patient feeding during swallowing studies and assisting with medical equipment and supplies. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, preparing equipment, and managing inventory. Facilitating patient flow, including scheduling, transporting equipment, and assisting with patient transfers. Providing care tailored to adult and geriatric patients, understanding their needs, and adhering to infection control procedures. Performing clerical duties such as scheduling, faxing, filing, and answering phones. Submitting work orders and supporting departmental operations. Qualifications And Skills High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred experience working with adult physical disabilities. Knowledge of physical, occupational, and speech procedures, medical terminology, and infection control. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment and follow detailed instructions. Physical ability to perform duties involving walking, lifting, standing, and patient transfers.
