That's WEIS! Location Address: 17600 Old National Sq Pike ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Kept deli service areas well stocked and appealing at all times to meet customer demands. Smiled, greeted customers, answered questions and helped resolve concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner. Ensured freshness and condition of merchandise in display cases, with proper prices and correct signs. Properly rotated product and handled spoiled or damaged items according to company procedures and standards. Operated slicing equipment to provide meats and cheeses based on customer preferences, and packaged items with stickers showing price, weight, and date. Prepared ready‑to‑eat foods to individual order, and prepared platters of sliced meats, cheeses, and vegetable trays, using safe knives and kitchen utensils. Adhered to company recipes and safety policies when preparing food such as chicken, pizza, sandwiches, salads, and other hot or cold items. Operated and was responsible for cash register operations, following policies and procedures to ensure proper money handling. Followed company and state laws related to tobacco and alcohol sales. Maintained general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and department guidelines to meet health and OSHA requirements. Disposed of trash properly and assisted with inventory control using time and temperature practices. Minimized losses by returning products to refrigeration, properly handling products, keeping necessary logs, and following company recipes. Assisted with baling cardboard or other related duties when properly trained. Assisted with receiving, unloading, checking‑in, breaking‑down, and storing deliveries, operating a power jack or hand jack when trained. Ensured smooth function of department and store by cooperating with coworkers and superiors, continuously improving job performance. Utilized all company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut‑resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company sponsored footwear. May be called upon to assist in other departments when necessary. This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience required.
