About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst Specialist to serve as a strategic partner between business stakeholders and technology teams. This individual will be responsible for driving business value through requirements analysis, process improvement, project planning, stakeholder engagement, and solution delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, technical aptitude, and the ability to influence decisions across complex initiatives.

The Business Analyst Specialist will support new business demand, align technology solutions to organizational objectives, and ensure successful execution through effective analysis, communication, and governance practices. This role also serves as a point of escalation for stakeholders and provides leadership and mentorship to other Business Analysts.


Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business and IT teams.
• Facilitate discussions to understand business needs, priorities, and strategic goals.
• Drive alignment of technology initiatives with organizational objectives.
• Act as an escalation point for active projects and business concerns.

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Lead requirements elicitation workshops and stakeholder interviews.
• Gather, analyze, document, and prioritize business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Develop use cases, user stories, process flows, and business process models.
• Create conceptual designs, prototypes, and solution recommendations.
• Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with technical teams to validate solution designs and requirements fulfillment.

Project Planning & Delivery Support

• Partner with Program Managers and business leaders on project initiation and planning activities.
• Assist with business case development, cost-benefit analysis, and feasibility assessments.
• Support resource planning, project estimation, governance, and project approvals.
• Ensure projects follow established delivery methodologies and change management procedures.
• Monitor project progress and communicate risks, issues, and dependencies.

Process Improvement & Solution Optimization

• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead process reengineering initiatives to increase efficiency, productivity, and value realization.
• Recommend technology solutions that address business challenges and enhance operational performance.
• Support continuous improvement efforts through lessons learned and outcome analysis.

Testing, Quality Assurance & Metrics

• Develop and execute quality assurance testing strategies.
• Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate delivered solutions against business requirements.
• Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.
• Provide regular project status updates, dashboards, and health reports.
• Measure business outcomes and support benefits realization efforts.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead business analysis activities on large-scale and complex projects.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to Business Analysts.
• Facilitate collaboration among business stakeholders, project teams, and leadership.
• Promote best practices in requirements management, communication, and business analysis methodologies.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible business analysis experience.
• Experience supporting technology initiatives, application development projects, or enterprise systems implementations.
• Proven success translating business needs into technology solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within ITIL environments and technology delivery frameworks.
• Experience developing business cases and conducting feasibility studies.
• Experience creating functional and non-functional requirements documentation.
• Experience with process modeling, workflow analysis, and data mapping.
• Experience working closely with development, QA, and project management teams.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
