Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry unit managing diagnoses including CHF, COPD, DM, Sepsis, Pneumonia, GI Bleeding, AMS, HTN, Renal Failure, and Heart Failure
• Perform and interpret telemetry cardiac monitoring
• Perform IV insertions and PICC line management
• Assist with unit-level procedures including lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, nasogastric tube insertion, and feeding tube insertion
• Accurately document patient assessments and care using electronic health record systems

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 18 months of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with telemetry interpretation
• Experience with IV insertion and PICC line management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Familiarity with procedures such as lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, and feeding tube insertions in an acute care setting
