General Manager

Description Position: General Manager Company: DIA Packaging Location: Huntley, IL Type: Full-Time | On-Site About the Role DIA Packaging is a $12M Revenue packaging manufacturing & supply company seeking driven and operationally focused General manager to oversee and optimize the company’s day-to-day operations across manufacturing, packaging, fulfillment, warehousing, and logistics. The GM will be responsible for profit and loss and should work closely with the executive team to execute strategic objectives, improve operational performance, profitability and support scalable growth while ensuring exceptional customer service and profitability. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all operational functions, including manufacturing, packaging, fulfillment, warehousing, and logistics. Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, efficiency, and profitability. Establish and monitor KPIs across operations, supply chain, and customer service functions. Optimize processes, systems, and workflows to support scalability and operational excellence. Manage budgets, resource allocation, and operational performance to achieve financial targets. Partner with sales and customer success teams to ensure superior customer experience and service delivery. Build, coach, and develop high-performing operations and management teams. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and industry standards. Support strategic initiatives, business expansion opportunities, and integration of new operational capabilities. Ideal Candidate 10+ years of senior operations leadership experience, with at least 5 years in an executive-level operations role. Proven track record of optimizing and scaling operations in manufacturing, packaging, logistics, distribution, or related industries. Strong expertise in supply chain management, process improvement, and operational efficiency. Demonstrated experience leading multi-site operations and cross-functional teams. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational performance metrics. Data-driven decision maker with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Hands-on leadership style with the ability to drive accountability and results. Exceptional communication, team-building, and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. MBA will be a plus. Preferred Qualifications Experience in industrial packaging, manufacturing, fulfillment, or logistics environments. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification preferred. Experience implementing ERP, WMS, or operational technology solutions. Proven success in supporting rapid company growth and operational transformation.
