Named after a cause, not a corporation, The Climate Pledge is an initiative founded by Amazon and Global Optimism asking global corporations to become net zero carbon by 2040. Climate Pledge Arena opened October 19, 2021.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Must assess every vehicle upon arrival, including documenting any surface damage and overall vehicle's condition.Be adept at safely handling a range of vehicle types including luxury vehicles, manual transmission vehicles, and electric vehicles.Processes all parking transactions by taking accurate records of keys, tickets, tips received, and reporting discrepancies to management.Provide exceptional and outstanding customer serviceAbility to multi-task, and follow-through with appropriate and timely resultsMust remain calm, alert, pleasant, and professional at all timesProvide clear and effective verbal and written communications with Guests, co-workers, and corporate staff.Ability to run and maintain good physical condition throughout your shift.Maintain a clean work environment including all surrounding areas of ramp, drive and valet podium.Professionally provide and receive feedback to improve serviceStrong self-motivation, organizational skills and good judgment.Ability and willingness to take on new duties based on changing business needs.Required Experience & Qualifications:Required to have and maintain a valid state driver's licenseMust be able to successful complete the company pre-employment background check, including Motor Vehicle Report.Ability to drive all types of vehicles including luxury vehicles, manual transmission vehicles, and electric vehicles.Maintain understanding of venue layout, particularly the parking areas and exitsExcellent verbal communication skills and collaboratorAbility to stand throughout the duration of a scheduled shift (minimum 4 hours)Ability to bend or twist at the waist to reach and move items at ground level (typically traffic cones or parking signs)Must be capable of working outside in a variety of environmental conditions (heat, cold, humidity, high wind, snow, or rain)A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization firstPreferred Experience & Qualifications:Previous experience in parking and/or valetWorking Conditions:This role is represented by Teamsters 117 Union.Must be able to work a flexible schedule of weekends, nights and holidays requiredFrequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.Compensation:In accordance with the Washington State Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, and with Climate Pledge Arena's collective bargaining agreement with Teamsters 117, the expected rate for this position is $24.88/hrThis role is non-exempt and eligible for overtime payBenefits & Perks:Company-wide recognition programCompany-paid Orca transit cardComplementary parkingEmployee meal perksOur Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Hiring:Climate Pledge Arena aspires to write a new playbook in sports and entertainment that includes everyone.
