Field Service Engineer/Tech Job DescriptionProvide solutions for any burner or related equipment problems that may arise in the field with little to no supervisionCommunicate professionally and effectively with personnel including plant managers, skilled labor, and internal team membersSupervise and manage contractors or other personnel while on siteManage workflow based on customer expectations while on siteFollow written and verbal instructions to ensure combustion systems are installed and operating correctlyPerform start-up, operation, and troubleshooting of all combustion systems and/or equipmentCreate and submit detailed reportsQualificationsAssociate's degree in an Engineering discipline or comparable field experienceAbility to travel a minimum of 60%Working knowledge of Microsoft Office productsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to manage workflow and work crews while on the job siteMust possess technical and mechanical skills including reading mechanical and electrical drawings, piping utilities from P&IDs, instrumentation, welding, and electrical wiringMust be able to troubleshoot independently and report back for assistance when necessarySystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
