Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.The Respiratory Therapy department consists of certified and registered therapists that treat disease of the pulmonary system of the human body.Role PurposeUnder the supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist, provides basic routine patient care activities in the general care areas related to respiratory care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within the guidelines of the hospital and department. Ensures care provided is safe, effective, developmentally and age appropriate while complying with all quality and regulatory requirements as well as quality improvement initiatives.
