Court Case Manager 2

Responsibilities The Court Case Manager 2 will serve as the in‑court clerk for minor offense and grand jury proceedings; prepare the courtroom for hearings, test recording equipment, and review case files for prior or pending actions. You will announce the opening and closing of court proceedings, mark and maintain exhibits and lists, record court proceedings, and prepare an accurate summary. Jury clerk duties will include preparing and distributing jury schedules, juror notices, routing requests for excusal and deferral to the judicial officer, and documenting juror attendance. Additional responsibilities will include managing minor offense cases using CourtView/OnBase to open, calendar, and close cases, performing records research and requests, and sending and checking mail at the post office once a day. You will be responsible for vital statistics duties and will assist the public in making marriage license applications and preparing marriage licenses for signature. Providing outstanding customer service, this position will also assist customers at the front counter and over the phone, accept incoming filings, collect money and produce receipts for fines, fees, bail, etc. Work Hours Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break. Qualifications Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of advanced clerical work experience equivalent to a Court Case Manager 1 with the Alaska Court System or an equivalent position with another employer. Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND completion of a two-year paralegal curriculum from an accredited institution.
