Job Description

As a Shop Foreman, you will lead and manage a team of technicians within the shop, overseeing the scheduling and execution of projects to repair stamping press equipment, CNC equipment, and plastic injection machines. You must be a subject matter expert with stamping presses and possess the ability to understand clutches, gears, motors, and hydraulics. Your role will involve troubleshooting and coaching through various equipment issues that arise in the shop. Proficiency in machine repair and computer skills with Microsoft Office are essential. Occasional client calls may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of technicians in the shop.
• Schedule and oversee projects for repairing stamping press, CNC, and plastic injection equipment.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on stamping presses.
• Troubleshoot and coach team through equipment issues.
• Conduct machine repairs as needed.
• Utilize computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office, for scheduling and management tasks.
• Communicate with clients occasionally if required.

Essential Skills

• Extensive experience with stamping presses.
• Strong background in machine repair.
• Proven management or leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Possession of a Journeyman Card is a plus.

Work Environment

The position operates on the 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the possibility of longer days if project completion is necessary. The work environment is currently in a large, old building with high ceilings and ample space for equipment work, located in downtown Grand Rapids. We will soon move to a new commercial/industrial building at 36th and US 131, which will accommodate both our company and associated operations.

This is a Permanent position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Grand Rapids,MI.
