Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement Take ownership of technical problem‑solving using structured methodologies and best practices (e.g., root cause analysis, Lean tools, Six Sigma principles). Identify and eliminate non‑value‑added activities to optimize production efficiency. Process Development & Documentation Prepare and maintain work instructions, assembly manuals, and technique sheets to support manufacturing. Develop and document best practices for incorporating engineering changes into production. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering, logistics, quality, and production teams to align on problem definition and work to identify Root Cause and Corrective Action. Participate in design reviews and assess the impact of engineering changes. Tooling & Resource Planning Define and request tooling, jigs, fixtures, and consumables required for manufacturing and assembly. Estimate labor hours, tooling build times, and assembly times for new projects and modifications. Data Analysis & Feasibility Analyze engineering models and manufacturing plans to ensure feasibility and compliance with geometric tolerances. Support cost reduction initiatives and make/buy decisions through accurate estimates and analysis. How to thrive in this role? Post‑secondary degree/diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience). Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to read technical drawings and visualize 3D models; proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA, Enovia, NX). Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel expertise required). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with a logical and innovative mindset. Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to synthesize technical information clearly. Experience in aerospace manufacturing or related fields is an asset.
