Our busy and dynamic Med/Surg unit features 20 private patient rooms and cares for an average daily census of 18 patients, with the flexibility to accommodate up to 25 patients when needed. As a high-volume unit that discharges more than 100 patients each month, our team is at the heart of exceptional patient care and recovery.A Med/Surg RN who excels in this role:Assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needsSets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patientsDevelops individual nursing care plansImplements care plans and makes revisions as neededEvaluates patient care outcomesCollaborates with physicians and other hospital employeesAdministers medications, treatments and therapies.Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care.Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition.Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
