About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead its enterprise-wide risk management initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing robust risk governance frameworks that align with industry standards and organizational goals. This role involves close collaboration with executive leadership and the Board to enhance risk oversight and decision-making processes. The CRO will also oversee compliance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring seamless business operations and market expansion, and will be a key figure in integrating risk management practices with operational strategies to bolster the company's resilience. Key responsibilities for the CRO include designing and implementing comprehensive risk management frameworks, leading regulatory compliance strategies, and maintaining effective relationships with regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree strongly preferred, and at least 15 years of senior leadership experience in risk management or compliance within financial services. Expertise in alternative investments, U.S. securities regulation, and international compliance standards is essential, as is a proven track record in risk frameworks. Professional certifications such as FRM, CRCMP, CFA, CPA, or CAMS are also preferred. The role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to mentor and develop global teams, and a strong focus on continuous improvement and risk awareness throughout the organization.
