Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description

Haul dry van freight nationwide for HMD Trucking, operating out of the Wilmington, DE area. This OTR solo CDL-A position rewards safe, professional drivers with strong mileage pay (65 CPM) and typical weekly mileages around 2,500.

Key duties:

• Operate a tractor-trailer on long-haul, OTR routes while adhering to DOT and company safety standards.
• Keep accurate electronic and paper logs, perform thorough inspections, and secure freight.
• Coordinate with dispatch for efficient routing and on-time deliveries.

Equipment includes modern trucks under three years old with sleepers, APUs and inverters, plus in-house maintenance support. Home every two weeks; benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO and 401(k). CDL-A and 12 months experience required.
