Experience the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of middle school students through a dedicated contract position as a School Psychologist. This onsite role supports a welcoming school community near New London, CT, where you’ll work 24-32 hours per week from August 24th through the end of the school year.
You will play a vital role in fostering students’ academic, emotional, and personal development. Serving a student body of approximately 150 in grades 6 through 8, you’ll provide services for both general education and special education students, collaborating with faculty and families to ensure a supportive environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut school psychologist license (required)
- Previous experience working with middle school-aged students a plus
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
- Able to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Organized, adaptive, and clear communicator
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct student assessments, evaluations, and observations as needed
- Provide individual and group counseling for students
- Support the development and implementation of IEPs and behavioral plans
- Collaborate with special education teams and participate in relevant meetings
- Work closely with staff to address student concerns and advocate for their needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to state/federal education guidelines
