Check out this video and learn more and discover the “Power of We.”As a Radiology Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our imaging team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:Produce x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist ensuring clear and undistorted films. Position and instruct patients regarding x-ray procedures.Perform x-ray procedures using portable machine as requested by Emergency Department and nursing units.Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures.Communicate with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in-person and via telephone.Maintain x-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; Ensures preventative maintenance is performed on a regularly scheduled basis; contacts outside service for major malfunctions according to established guidelines.Promote effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter- and intra-departmentally to facilitate that departments/units ability to meet its goals and objectives.Minimum Qualifications Radiology Tech IHigh School Diploma or equivalentSuccessful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Current license/certification in the state of practiceCurrent BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart AssociationPreferred QualificationsAt least one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experienceMinimum Qualifications Radiology Tech IICurrent Registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Minimum of 2 years Radiology Technologist experienceAbility to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional teamMinimum Qualifications Specialty Tech in TrainingBasic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.Applicable State LicenseAn American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) technologist who is currently attending and receiving formal training from an accredited training program or successful completion of formal training from an approved/accredited school or a licensed American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) technologist who has been selected to cross-train in another modality.Preferred Qualifications Specialty Tech in Training1-2 years customer service or patient care experienceIV CertificationNo Additional Description AvailableLocation:Platte Valley HospitalWork City:BrightonWork State:ColoradoScheduled Weekly Hours:0The hourly range for this position is listed below.
