Job Title: Production Specialist Reports to: Group Manager

JELD-WEN is a leading global designer, manufacturer and distributor of high-performance interior and exterior doors, windows and related building products serving the new construction and repair and remodeling sectors. Under direct supervision, this position performs repetitive production support operations using hand tools and associated machinery and equipment to assist in the manufacturing of JELD-WEN products including Door Skins, and all other JELD-WEN-related building products.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Read and understand customer's requirements from the job ticket.
• Gather all the materials needed to complete the job.
• Ensure that all material is labeled properly before it is sent to the warehouse.
• Ensure all door accessories are in place before packaging.
• Understand each material for the different orders.
• Visually inspect, select, and package products according to requested specifications.
• Communicate with management on material or maintenance on equipment not performing up to standards and those in need of reorder / repair.
• Responsible for maintaining clean and functional equipment.
• Responsible for the troubleshooting of the machine.
• Review documents such as production schedules, and work orders, to determine the set-up of the machine including door type, and size and validate each order.
• Responsible for operating the machine accurately according to each order characteristic to exceed customer expectations in a safe and efficient manner that improves the current level of production.
• Responsible for assembling the door accessories of the product.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally move stock, materials, and unfinished and finished product in and near their work areas.

Work Environment: The employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and machines, vibrations, and loud noises. Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
