Master Data Steward

SAP MDG Master Data Steward Location: Dublin, CA Responsibilities Master Data Management: Oversee the creation, maintenance, and deletion of master data records in SAP MDG; ensure data quality and integrity by implementing governance policies and procedures. Data Quality and Analysis: Conduct regular audits and data quality assessments to identify and resolve discrepancies; monitor and manage defined data quality KPIs. Data Stewardship: Act as the contact person for data‑related questions, assist employees in understanding data; document and maintain catalogue‑relevant elements, including business descriptions, governance roles, data lineage, data quality, and data policies. Data Governance: Collaborate with stakeholders to define local data standards and governance processes, ensuring compliance with established policies; educate local data users on best practices; supervise data entry processes to enforce data integrity and quality; ensure data privacy and compliance with CSOPs/SOPs. Collaboration and Access Management: Work closely with cross‑functional teams (IT, finance, operations) to gather requirements and ensure alignment on master data initiatives; grant data access permissions and ensure that the right people have access to the required data. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in master data management, preferably within an SAP environment; experience with SAP MDG and data stewardship is highly desirable. Skills: • Understanding of business areas underlying owned data objects. • Effective communicator and initial point of contact for data‑related questions. • Strong team player and collaborator. • Affinity for setting up, maintaining, and sharing documentation for data asset management. • Good understanding of data cataloguing and quality. • Knowledge of relevant data standards and formats. • Ability to evaluate data assets regarding conformance with data policies and processing conditions. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices. Familiarity with data modeling concepts and data quality tools. Certification in SAP MDG or related fields is a plus. Compensation and Benefits Annual pay range: $94,200 – $117,800 (may be influenced by location, role, qualifications, and experience). Eligible for a performance bonus.
