Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWOHHN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate Must-Have: Experience with a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit Experience with scrub role and circulating in the operating room Description: This unit has 15 labor delivery recovery rooms, 3 OB triage rooms, 3 operating rooms, 4 bay post-anesthesia care unit rooms, and 4 antepartum rooms. It operates a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The documentation system used is Meditech and CPNS. Scheduling requirements include shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM. Floating may occur within the women's and children's service line. Patient experience requirements include labor and delivery, circulating for cesarean sections, and administering IV drips such as magnesium for high-acuity patients. Procedures performed on the unit include cesarean sections, epidurals, spinals, cerclage, and version. Please note that blood patches are rarely performed. The dress code involves scrubs supplied by the hospital.
