Overview
Registered Nurse, CVICU – Saint Helena, California. This travel assignment starts 07/06/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Compensation is $1,944 to $1,991 per week, with no guaranteed hours. Shift is 3x12 Nights in a Short Term Acute Care setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the CVICU for post-open-heart surgery and high-acuity cardiac patients.
- Monitor hemodynamics, manage ventilators, and titrate vasoactive medications; operate invasive lines per protocol.
- Support balloon pump/open heart recovery patients and respond to sudden changes in patient status.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary teams; participate in rounds and care planning.
- Communicate clearly with families, document assessments and interventions in the electronic health record, and ensure patient safety and infection control standards.

Requirements
- Current California RN license
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- CVICU experience with open heart recovery training; balloon pump/open heart experience preferred
- Ability to work 3x12 night shifts and participate in a travel temporary assignment
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to work in a high-acuity CVICU environment
