Job DetailsJob Location: Bethany Campus - Bethany, OK 73008Position Type: StudentEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Part Time / Tuition with Stipend WORK SCHEDULE Varies with Sports Schedule, some weekend travel JOB SUMMARY Southern Nazarene University is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a graduate assistant coach for the SNU Men’s & Women’s Rugby Program as it competes in the NCR DI category. The successful candidate will have a mature, growing relationship with Christ and collegiate coaching/playing experience. Applicants must be willing to lead our JV program if applicable and assist as a member of the varsity coaching staff in all areas. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Head Coach in providing leadership for the SNU Men’s & Women’s Rugby Program. Play an integral role in the day-to-day administrative responsibilities, player/team spiritual development, daily team training, evaluation and recruitment of student-athletes, academic monitoring, and skill development of players. This position must work within SNU and NCR guidelines to provide student-athletes with an exceptional collegiate experience while competing for championships. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Southern Nazarene University is an expression of the Church of the Nazarene. College undergraduate completion Minimum of two years of related work experience and/or relevant training Possess strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize multiple demands in fast-paced work environment Typing and spelling competency Experience with various computer software applications Data entry experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Some coaching experience Experience in higher education SUPERVISION RECEIVED Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction. SUPERVISION EXERCIZED May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees. BENEFITS Stipend only.
