ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel position in a critical care environment. This role requires a passion for patient care and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 26
• Number of Staff: 15
• Staffing Structure:
  
  
  • Day Shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech
  • Night Shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Type of Equipment: Balloon pumps, CRRT, Hypothermia equipment
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS & NIH Stroke Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Prior experience in a large facility ICU unit

Typical Procedures Performed

• Heart catheterizations
• Balloon pumps
• CRRT
• Hypothermia therapy
• Cardioversion
• Insertion of central lines
• Administration of medication drips
