Solutions Architect - Enterprise Networking (Req#1055)

OverviewCandidates MUST BE geographically located in or near Irvine, California, with a willingness to work on-site in our Irvine office two days per week.As a Solutions Architect (Enterprise Networking), you will function as the technical lead for ePlus for targeted, key solution sets. You will be a key contributor in the pre-sales process, assisting the regional sales team in evaluating customers’ needs, and developing solutions from concept to implementation. Your ImpactThe essential functions of this position include:Provide technical expertise/credibility to account team on designated focus areaConduct customer presentations on ePlus value proposition and technical solution sets for assigned accounts and focus areas Assist sales account managers with overall account planning, as it relates to technical aspects of hardware, software, and services opportunity developmentAssist sales account managers with project management for complex presales engagementsComplete technical sections for RFP/RFI/RFQ responses for assigned accountsAssist account teams with collecting customer business and technical requirements and determining ePlus recommended solution(s) Develop solution architecture and detailed line-item configurations/bills of material (BOMs)Develop proposal and/or presentation of recommended solutionsAssist with technical scoping/review for Statements of Work (SOWs) for assigned accountsFunction as liaison to end-user customer technical staff regarding solution and implementation specificsFunction as a liaison between the sales team and professional services organization to vet solution recommendations and to complete technical portions of the SOW, as appropriateFunction as technical liaison and ePlus ambassador with field OEM sales and technical teamsAssist sales management with mentoring of junior sales account managers as it relates to overall opportunity management and technical solution setConduct knowledge transfer with SAT members around solution updates, implementation lessons learned, etc., as relevantAssist ePlus sales team in dealing with customer satisfaction issues surrounding technical aspects of a recommended solution & its implementation or deployment, as neededAssist in developing customer get-well plan, if applicableAssist sales and services management in identifying candidate solution areas for ePlus development or investmentComplete training, per development plan, and maintain certifications in accordance with focus areaAssist Services Director with helping improve procedures and functionsEnsure appropriate coverage for in-process opportunities while out of office for training, vacation, PTO, etc.Participate in weekly SAT planning conference callsComplete administrative tasks (expenses, time reporting) in a timely fashionQualificationsBusiness or Technical degree or applicable work experience required5+ years of experience in designing or implementing complex network solutions5+ years of experience in providing pre-sales engineering support5+ years of L2/L3 networking design and implementation experience with a focus on Data Center, Campus, and WIFI solutionsRecent experience in leaf-spine architecture designExpert knowledge in the following areas: Ethernet, RSTP/ MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, EVPN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, QoSCertifications in applicable technology Cisco, Juniper, or Arista greatly preferredNetwork engineering experience with one or more of manufacturers: Cisco, HP, NetApp, VMware, Symantec, MicrosoftExcellent written communications skillsStrong attention-to-detailExcellent oral presentation skillsPositions SpecificsThe initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $110,000 and $150,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
