What You'll Do Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture. Operate and maintain a mobile baler and other processing equipment such as cranes and loaders to assist with on‑site recycling operations. Secure cargo on trailers: secure chains across the width of a trailer, tarp loads, and perform dropping and hooking a trailer. Transport scrap materials safely and efficiently to designated processing facilities and client sites. Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours. Inspect vehicle(s) for safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists, ensuring emergency equipment is in proper working order. Perform additional duties as needed. What You'll Need Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid Class A Commercial Driver License required. No DUI or DWI within the last 5 years. No speeding violations exceeding 15 mph above posted limits in the previous 3 years. No on‑road preventable accidents during the past 3 years as shown on the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Pass required DOT and CMC Logistics drug testing programs and physicals as required by DOT. Driver must be knowledgeable about DOT regulations and requirements. Must be able to work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday, which may include some overtime. Frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or ladders, working with chains, dropping and hooking trailers, performing inspections and reaching for equipment throughout the entire shift. Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions, including heat and cold weather. Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs. Work well with team members or independently; give and receive constructive feedback. Must be willing to learn and tackle new challenges. Build strong relationships by actively listening and responding to client needs. Excels at managing tasks and responsibilities without constant supervision. Your Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
